Fashion show at the Institut Français de la Mode: a must-see event
On Monday, March 3, 2025, the French Institute of Fashion (IFM) kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a bold and creative show.
During this event, over 150 outfits designed by its students were showcased. Behind the scenes, students from the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy faced a significant challenge: applying makeup to 100 models and creating 165 looks in record time!
Guided by MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy Makeup Artists instructors Stéphanie BEAUREPAIRE and Pauline MARTIN, the students had an unforgettable experience.
LEARNING CLOSE TO THE REALITY OF THE PROFESSION
The long courses at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy prepare students for the realities of the professional world. The partnership with IFM offers students immersive experiences, revealing numerous opportunities in the artistic field. By participating in this event, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students build valuable relationships for their future careers.
Throughout the show's preparation, students discovered the intense backstage environment of a fashion show: numerous models, tight schedules, last-minute touch-ups... Each model had to be made up quickly, adhering to the precise requirements of the pre-established mood board.
Beyond the technical aspect, this experience offered the 30 Academy students the opportunity to collaborate with each other and with IFM students. They had to coordinate and support each other to manage the flow of models smoothly. This internship highlighted the importance of collaboration under intense working conditions, an essential skill for evolving as a Makeup Artist.
AN UNMISSABLE EVENT
Stress management, speed, coordination... This show provides a concrete experience of the demands of professional makeup in the fashion and luxury industry. Today, the IFM show has become a highly anticipated event for MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students. At the end of the event, the supervising instructors praised the students' work:
"Applying makeup to so many models in such a short time is not an easy task. These experiences can be tough but formative. You can be proud of yourselves!" said Stephanie BEAUREPAIRE, instructor at the Academy.
The collaboration with IFM once again highlighted the potential and rigor of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students.
