Training Programs
What training programs does the Academy offer and how long are they?
The Academy offers 4 types of training programs:
- Long-term training: 6 to 12 months.
- Intensive training: 1 day to 1 month.
- Custom training: minimum of 2 days.
- Online training: 1 to 3 months.
What is the difference between intensive and long-term training?
Long-term training (6 to 12 months) is ideal for pursuing a career as a professional makeup artist. Intensive training (1 day to 1 month) provides quick training in fundamental makeup techniques.
How can I enroll in MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy?
You can enroll online for any of our training programs. Alternatively, contact us at academy@makeupforever.fr.
How much do the Academy's training programs cost?
The cost of our training programs varies based on their duration and content. Prices are available on the training pages of our website.
What payment methods are accepted?
Accepted payment methods include: bank transfer, credit card, check, cash (up to €1000, please contact us to schedule an appointment).
At what age can one enroll in training?
Training is accessible from 18 years old on the first day of the training. For candidates aged 16 and 17, parental authorization and a parent's ID will be required.
What level is required to access the training programs?
We offer various training programs for all levels, from beginner to advanced. The required level is indicated on each training page.
In which languages are the training programs conducted?
Long-term training is conducted only in French. Intensive and custom training can be conducted in French and English (depending on the chosen training). The Academy can offer custom training in different languages with a translator according to your needs.
Is it possible to visit the Academy before enrolling?
We regularly organize open days where you can visit the Academy and interact with teachers and students. The dates of these open days are listed on our website. You can also request an enrollment appointment with our sales team at academy@makeupforever.fr.
What certification is obtained after training?
The BEAUTY MAKEUP, BRIDAL MAKEUP, and DARK SKIN MAKEUP training programs provide a competency certificate registered in the Specific Directory. Custom and other intensive training programs provide a participation certificate. Long-term Professional Makeup Artist training provides a level 4 professional certificate registered in the RNCP (National Directory of Professional Certifications).

What is the academic calendar for the long-term Professional Makeup Artist training?
There are 2 enrollment sessions per year:
- A session from September to February.
- A session from March to August. You can then pursue specializations (Artistic, Cinema...).
How do I enroll in the long-term Professional Makeup Artist training?
To enroll in the long-term training, simply fill out the online registration form and follow the instructions to complete your application.
What level is required to access the long-term Professional Makeup Artist training?
Our training programs are accessible to all levels, including beginners.
How are students selected for the long-term Professional Makeup Artist training?
Students are selected based on an application reviewed by the faculty (administrative file accompanied by an artistic portfolio including photos, drawings, collages, etc.) and an individual interview with a sales representative or Academy professor to assess the candidate's motivation and artistic sensitivity. Training is accessible from 18 years old on the first day of the training. For candidates aged 16 and 17, parental authorization and a parent's ID will be required. You can apply online directly.
Is an artistic portfolio mandatory and what should it include?
The artistic portfolio should include about 10 photos. Each portfolio is unique and should reflect your personality, showcasing your artistic abilities, originality, creativity, work ethic, curiosity, and perseverance, which are essential to join the Academy. There is no specific mandatory content for your portfolio; you can freely select your items. It should represent you, displaying your passions, inspirations, interests, and creations, with a brief note for each. (Collages, photos, paintings, drawings, dance, pastries, sewing – there are no limits as long as your creativity shines through). The format and care you put into your portfolio should reflect your image.
Are there internships and how many?
During the long-term Professional Makeup Artist training, our students participate in immersion internships with our partners (examples from previous years):
- TV: The Voice, La Nouvelle Star, La France a un Incroyable Talent, Le Bureau des Légendes (C+), Artist clips (Universal, Sony, Believe...)
- MUSICALS: Singing in the Rain, La Légende du Roi Arthur, Madiba, Bal des Vampires…
- SHOWS, DESIGNER RUNWAYS, AND EVENTS: Who’s Next/Première Classe, Fashion week, Juun J, FNAC Live,
- SCHOOLS: IFM, IFA, Paris College of Art, Istituto Marangoni, ESMOD, Les Gobelins, école Louis Lumière, ESIS…
What criteria are used for the final evaluation of students?
At the end of their training, students present a photo portfolio of their makeup work, created by a professional photographer. They also complete various tasks to demonstrate their skills as future makeup artists.
What diploma is awarded at the end of the training?
At the end of their training, students present a photo portfolio of their makeup work, created by a professional photographer. The validation of this portfolio by a jury of professional makeup artists allows the awarding of a level 4 RNCP-recognized Professional Certificate.
What career opportunities are available after the long-term training?
As a graduate of the Academy, you will have access to prestigious fields: beauty, fashion, television, cinema, and more. Whether backstage at a TV show, behind the scenes at Fashion Week, or on a movie set, your skills will help you stand out. You will work on real projects and enrich your portfolio with real-world experiences: on the sets of The Voice, La Nouvelle Star, or backstage at major fashion shows like Paris Fashion Week. Field internships will allow you to practice on artists before their performances, preparing you to join professional teams right after the training. This immersion in the professional makeup world is key to your future success.
Do you offer accommodation during the training?
The Academy has a partnership with a student residence in Boulogne-Billancourt (reserved for enrolled students only).

Online Trainings
Is it possible to do makeup training remotely/online?

What is included in the online training?
Our online training includes various elements to support your learning: explanatory videos, demonstrations, course materials, practical scenarios, and exercises. Discover the detailed content of our training here.
How long does the online training last?
- For the Online Beauty Makeup training Beginner, you have access to all courses for two months.
- For the Online Beauty Makeup training Advanced, you have access to all courses for two months.
How much does online training cost?

How do I enroll in remote/online training?
Enrollments for online training can be done directly on our website from the training page or by email: online-academy@makeupforever.fr.
Will I receive a certificate at the end of the training?
Once completed, you’ll receive a certificate of attendance.
On which device can I access the training?
You can access the training using a computer connected to the internet, as well as iOS and/or Android mobile devices. We recommend using a computer, when possible, as some content is exclusively accessible from a computer and not from the mobile app.

What are the upcoming training dates?

How can I enroll in intensive training?
To enroll in one of our training programs, you can register directly online. Your registration is confirmed once the full payment is made at least 10 days before the training starts (by bank transfer, credit card, or cash at the Academy).
Is the equipment (brushes, hair kit, etc.) provided/financed by the Academy?
We provide all the makeup necessary for your practice sessions. For hygiene reasons, please bring:
- Your brush kit, any brand accepted.
- 1 bottle of brush cleaner (such as Instant Brush Cleaner)
For the BEAUTY MAKEUP / BRIDAL MAKEUP / BEAUTY & BRIDAL MAKEUP training, please also bring:
- 1 box of strip false lashes
- 1 box of individual false lashes
If you do not have this equipment, you can purchase it on the first day of your training (except false lashes) at the Academy store with a 40% discount. This discount is applicable throughout your training.
Does intensive training allow me to become a professional makeup artist?
Intensive training provides an introduction or refresher in makeup skills. It focuses on specific competencies, helping participants enhance their skills to attract new clients or improve their employability for job seekers or those undergoing career changes. Self-makeup courses teach you how to apply makeup on yourself.
Do you offer accommodation during the training?
The Academy does not have reserved accommodations for students. However, upon request via email (academy@makeupforever.fr), we can send you a list of our partner accommodations near the Academy.
What is custom training?
We can create a custom program taught by a dedicated professor if you are unavailable on the scheduled dates of existing intensive training or if you wish to learn makeup techniques not offered in our catalog.
What can I study in custom training?
You can study beauty makeup techniques, more artistic makeup techniques, or even makeup techniques dedicated to Cinema.
What are the upcoming dates for custom training?
There are no predefined dates. We will create a training schedule together based on your availability and that of a professor who can be dedicated to your training.
How can I enroll in custom training?
To enroll in one of our training programs, you can register online directly on our website. Here are the steps to create your custom training:
- Define your level, needs, and desired duration.
- Create your training with a dedicated Makeup Artist professor.
- Issue the quote and pay a 30% deposit. The balance is due 10 days before the training starts (by bank transfer, credit card, or cash at the Academy).
