When Dance and Body Painting Unite

May 21 was no ordinary day at the Academy. Our 40 students and their teachers headed early in the morning to Espace Pierre Bachelet in Dammarie les Lys to join the Néodance team, semi-finalists on "La France a un Incroyable Talent."

Arriving at 10 a.m., the energy was palpable. Our makeup artist students quickly prepared to start beautifying the first 18 dancers. The students in the 6-month professional makeup training handled beauty makeup, while those in the artistic option focused on body painting.

By 1 p.m., filming began. The camera captured stunning choreography and the tangible chemistry between the complementary arts of makeup and dance. Between takes, smiles and advice were exchanged, reflecting mutual respect among these young talents.

At 2:30 p.m., our students picked up their brushes again to makeup 18 more dancers and glitter their arms for a specific choreography named 'Shiva.' By 4 p.m., the dancers took the stage to perform.

By 5 p.m., our adventure concluded. With memories and perhaps some glitter, we said goodbye to Dammarie les Lys.
