How to Choose Your Mascara?
Is your mascara finished and you're looking to buy a new one? Discover our tips for choosing the mascara that suits you best!
Mascara is a must-have in any makeup bag. You might have used the same one for years, but now you notice there are more effective mascaras that could better suit your lashes. Here are our tips to help you choose the right mascara for perfect eye makeup.
What Result Are You Looking For?
Depending on whether you want voluminous, curled, or lengthened lashes (or all three!), you shouldn't choose the same mascara.
Want to add volume to your lashes? Choose a mascara with a volumizing brush. It's thicker and has more bristles than a regular brush. For curled lashes, some mascaras are known for curling properties, but an eyelash curler is most effective. For lengthened lashes, go for a thin brush with wide bristles.
Is Applying Multiple Mascaras a Bad Idea?
Want perfect lashes that are lengthened, curled, and voluminous? You might be tempted to use multiple mascaras, but we don't recommend it. Using several mascaras might cancel out their effects!
What If I Have Sensitive Eyes?
Love the look of mascara but rarely wear it because of sensitive eyes? Don't worry, having sensitive eyes doesn't mean you can't wear mascara!
Here's our advice:
- You can find mascaras specially designed for sensitive eyes in stores. Choose one of these with confidence.
- Avoid mascaras with kohl powder.
- Similarly, avoid violet or blue mascaras as these pigments can be particularly irritating.
What Color Should I Choose for My Mascara?
Black mascara is a classic that every woman has in her makeup bag, but there are other colors. Brown mascara is ideal for women with fair skin and eyes, giving a natural look. Blue mascara is recommended for brunettes with dark eyes.
What about violet mascara? It's not the best daily choice, but for an evening event, why not? It's a bit extravagant, but sometimes that's the desired effect!
If you're still unsure about which mascara to choose, don't hesitate to seek advice in-store. You'll get personalized recommendations based on your preferences and eye characteristics.
