With the holiday season approaching, are you looking for makeup ideas? Here are our tips for achieving your New Year's Eve makeup look.

Start with a Flawless Complexion For this makeup, we'll focus on the eyes and lips, but a great complexion is essential. Use foundation with a brush, starting from the center of your face for a natural look. Add a touch of brightening concealer around the eyes, chin, and nose creases. Use the same brush as the foundation for a seamless blend. Finish with a bit of powder on the T-zone to control shine while keeping your skin glowing all evening!

Go for Smoky Eyes: Our 8-Step Method After correcting dark circles and redness, apply a primer on your eyelids to set the makeup and make it last longer. Draw a black pencil line along the lash line. The thinner the line, the smaller the smoky effect; the more it covers the lid, the more intense the look. Blend with a brush.

Next, use a "trio of shadows":

  • Start with the lightest shade on the inner eyelid.
  • Apply the medium shade from the middle to the outer corner of the eye. Blend both shades well.
  • Apply the darkest shade on the outer eyelid. For a subtle look, stay close to the lash line. For a more intense look, add more dark shadow and blend upwards.

Add a touch of light with a slightly shimmery shadow on the brow bone and inner eye corner to contrast with the smoky look. Create a "halo" by lining the lower lash line with black kohl pencil and blending with a brush. Finish with mascara, applying in a zigzag motion to lengthen and curl lashes. You're ready to go out!

With smoky eyes, keep lips light with just gloss or a nude shade.

A Red Lip for Evening: How to Perfect It! If you choose to go light on eye makeup, opt for a classic red lip. Smooth lines by applying a filler base around the lips. Use a small lip brush or specific pencil to create an invisible barrier to prevent bleeding. Outline lips with a pencil, starting at the cupid's bow and then from corners to the center. Do the same for the lower lip.

Finally, color your lips. Apply a highly pigmented lipstick directly or with a brush for precision, in small strokes.
