Do you have droopy eyes and want tips to enhance them? Discover our professional makeup advice. If you think your droopy eyes make your gaze look sad, or if you're a professional makeup artist who often works with clients with droopy eyes, this guide is for you.

No matter your situation, there are effective tricks to lift the look of droopy eyes. Here's how to choose the right eye makeup.

The Importance of Eyebrow Shape

Eyebrows add character to your gaze, especially if they are well-shaped and suit your face. Before applying eye makeup, take time to shape the eyebrows. We recommend leaving only a slight upward point at the outer edge to make the eyes appear larger.

Shades to Lift the Eyes for Eyeshadows

You want to achieve beautiful almond-shaped eyes with makeup, even if they are naturally droopy. It's possible with the right eyeshadow colors:

  • As a base, use a light shade. Pink, beige, or champagne are perfect for not weighing down the eyes. Shimmery eyeshadows are ideal because they catch the light; prefer them over matte shades.
  • For the eye corner, choose a slightly darker shade like plum, but avoid black or dark gray.
  • To complete your eye makeup, use a white eyeshadow on the mobile eyelids and under the brow arch.

Eyeliner and Mascara as Final Touches

Think eyeliner is off-limits for droopy eyes? Not necessarily! Avoid black eyeliner; choose a nice brown instead. Use kohl to draw a thin line along the lower lash curve, then flick it slightly upwards at the corner. Repeat for the upper lashes.

Don't forget mascara: brown or black is fine! Use an eyelash curler before applying mascara to enhance your eyes, making the outer corners less noticeable.

What About Lip Makeup?

If eye makeup for droopy eyes is too subtle for you, highlight your lips. A beautiful satin lipstick in a delicate color can draw attention to your lips.
