On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a bold and creative show. Over 150 outfits designed by its students were showcased.
Behind the scenes, students from the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy faced a big challenge: they had to do makeup for 100 models in record time!
Guided by MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy Makeup Artists Stéphanie BEAUREPAIRE and Pauline MARTIN, the students had an immersive experience they will never forget.
HANDS-ON LEARNING EXPERIENCE
The Master Programs at MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy prepare students for the realities of the professional world. The partnership with IFM gives students immersive experiences, revealing many opportunities in the artistic world. By participating in this event, MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students build valuable connections for their future careers.
During the preparation for the show, students experienced the intense backstage environment of a fashion show: numerous models, tight schedules, and last-minute touch-ups. Each model had to be made up quickly while meeting the precise requirements of the pre-set moodboard.
Besides the technical aspect, this experience gave the 30 Academy students the chance to collaborate with each other and with IFM students. They had to coordinate and help each other to manage the flow of models smoothly. This internship highlighted the importance of collaboration under intense working conditions, an essential skill for a Makeup Artist.
A MUST-SEE EVENT
Stress management, speed, coordination… This show provides a real experience of the demands of professional makeup in the fashion and luxury world. Today, the IFM fashion show has become a highly anticipated event for MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students.
At the end of the event, the supervising professors praised the students' work:
"Doing makeup for so many models in such a short time is not an easy task. These experiences can be tough but are very educational. You can be proud of yourselves!" said Stéphanie BEAUREPAIRE, a professor at the Academy.
The collaboration with IFM once again showcased the potential and dedication of MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy students !
