Oriental makeup step by step
Andrée-Line Dumont, a make-up artist and intensive training instructor at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Paris, shares her oriental makeup techniques. She shows us step by step how to create an oriental eye look.
STEP 1

Correct the eyebrow using AQUA RESIST BROW SCULPTOR No. 25 and eyebrow brush No. 270. Start lightly at the beginning of the brow and intensify towards the end.
STEP 2

Apply a light eyeshadow, here beige Artist Eyeshadow 530 Natural Cotton, on 2/3 of the eyelid starting from the inner corner using a medium flat brush like EYESHADOW BRUSH 248. Also apply it on the brow bone under the arch of the eyebrow.
STEP 3

Shade the outer corner of the eye with brown Artist Eyeshadow 640 Hot Toffee, bringing the color from the outside to the inside using a flat brush like EYESHADOW BRUSH 248. Blend it into the crease in a banana shape.
STEP 4

Use a round brush PRECISION BLENDING BRUSH 216 to blend the brown shadow with back-and-forth motions and extend it outward to elongate the eye.
STEP 5

Work the lower lash line with an angled brush from the outside to the inside, blending as you go.
STEP 6

To intensify the look, use a black khol pencil along the lashes and on the waterline and blend it. You can also use a waterproof AQUA RESIST SMOKY SHADOW in Carbon for more experienced users.
STEP 7

Draw a waterproof and intense eyeliner line with AQUA RESIST COLOR INK Matte Charcoal applied with EYELINER BRUSH 260, finishing with an outer wing on an open eye.
STEP 8

Apply Smoky Stretch mascara, lifting the eyebrow to get close to the roots. Apply on both top and bottom lashes.
STEP 9

For this makeup look, applying false lashes is essential to intensify the gaze. Adjust the size of the false lashes according to the size of the eye.
STEP 10

Add a touch of light to the inner corner with STAR LIT POWDER Ivory - 13.
