Learn how to achieve the perfect long-lasting red lips!

For Valentine's Day, we invited blogger They Call me Mellie (@amelia.rcl) to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy to learn how to create the perfect long-lasting red lips with makeup artist Lyana, a former student. One year later, we’re sharing this super simple tutorial for a timeless look.

Step 1: Hydrate your lips! You can even gently exfoliate them to remove any dry skin and winter chapping.

Next, let's move on to the makeup:

Define your lip contour with MAKE UP FOR EVER ARTIST COLOR PENCIL EXTREME – 402 Untamed Fire Bright Red for better hold.

Blend and fade the pencil towards the inside.

Apply ROUGE ARTIST FOR EVER – 402 Untamed Fire Bright Red with the LIP BRUSH - 300 for more precision over the entire lips.

Final tip for a matte & long-lasting finish:

Split a tissue and place it over your lips.

Lightly apply HD SKIN PERFECTING LOOSE POWDER Translucent with the BLENDING BRUSH - 242 over the tissue.

Now you're ready to dine, drink, kiss... Your red lips will stay perfect!
